KV Consulting is focused on lifting productivity in the workplace through effective staff management. There is a need to move away from a command and control way of managing people (it never worked with teenagers), to an approach which focuses on being ruthless with standards, gracious with people. This is not a soft option, but holding staff accountable to end results and keeping workplace relationships good so that businesses can focus on their reason to exist, not wasting energy elsewhere, especially adversarial interactions.
Keith set up KV Consulting in 2009 after 8 years of employment at the Employers and Manufacturers Association, Central. He facilitates seminars/workshops and advises employers in a range of employment related matters, specializing in Managing Staff Performance and addressing issues before the formal processes of performance management and discipline. He facilitates training courses by challenging thinking - questioning why we do things is very important within any learning context. This focus on learning came about through 15 years of teaching at secondary school level. After leaving teaching Keith embarked on a Masters in Adult Education with a focus on adult learning in the workplace.
His work at EMA, Central was in the area of procedural fairness, disciplinary procedures, preventing personal grievances
